ABOUT US

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

When The DuJuan and Tina McCoy Foundation talks about Multiculturalism, Diversity Equity and Inclusion we mean:

Multiculturalism - the practice of giving equal attention to many different backgrounds in a community including but not limited to:

  • African Americans
  • Hispanics
  • Asian Americans
  • Middle Eastern Americans
  • LGBTQ Community
  • Native Americans
  • Women
  • Disabled Americans

Regardless of political affiliation.

Diversity - the presence of differences in identity, perspectives, and skills regardless of race, origin, and socioeconomic status.

Equity - the justice and fairness in systems that create procedures and distribute resources regardless of race, origin, and socioeconomic status.

Inclusion - an environment that ensures diverse individuals feel welcomed, respected, and empowered to participate regardless of race, origin, and socioeconomic status.

The DuJuan and Tina McCoy Foundation is dedicated to funding and producing programs that bring awareness and help resolve socioeconomic issues of equity, access, participation, human rights, and liberties for all Americans with an added emphasis on underserved and multicultural communities who may lack the resources to help themselves.
